Our Luca conversion kit is design to convert your toddler’s Montessori bed into a standard twin bed, a low loft twin bed, or a twin over twin bunk bed.

Compatible beds include:

Standard bed kit - includes four legs and hardware. This kit converts one Luca twin bed (sold separately) into a standard bed.

Low loft conversion kit - includes four legs, a ladder, support beams, and hardware.

This kit converts one Luca twin bed (sold separately) into a low loft bed with dimensions of 78.5" long x 40.5" deep x 50" tall.

Bunk Bed conversion kit - includes corner posts, a ladder, and hardware. You will need two Luca twin beds (sold separately) to convert the beds into a bunk bed. The dimensions of the bunkbed are 78.5" long x 40.5" deep x 61.5" tall.

Note: the conversion kits in stock now are only compatible with twin size Luca beds shipped in June 2025 or later. If you purchased a twin size Luca bed before June 2025, and you would like to purchase a conversion kit, please email us at help@customkidsfurniture.com for help.

We have kits coming in stock at the end of summer for the Luca twin XL beds and full size beds. Those kits will be listed for sale when they are in stock.

All bunk bed kits are only compatible with two of the same size Luca beds. The Luca bed can be converted into a twin over twin bunk bed, a twin XL over twin XL bunk bed, or a full over full bunk bed. It cannot be converted into a twin over full bunk bed.

Do you need to buy the the regular height kit AND the bunk bed kit to create the bunk bed configuration that is pictured here? Can you configure the bunk beds while still using the floor bed configuration on the bottom bed?

Hi Whitney! To make a Luca bunk bed you only need to buy one conversion kit - the bunk bed kit. You also need to purchase two Luca beds. You cannot build the bunk bed with the bottom bed on the floor. The kit isn’t designed for that option. We’re happy to answer any other questions you might have!
Hi, is it possible to make this bed a full bed ?

Hi Karla! The twin bed cannot be converted to a full size. You would need to purchase a full size floor bed initially to use with our full size conversion kits. Then you can convert the bed into a taller full bed, a full size loft bed or a full over full size bunk bed. We’re happy to answer any other questions you have!
