Our beds for kids are designed around the idea of making high-quality Montessori beds, available in multiple child-safe designs. This playful bed for kids, made from quality materials, is expertly designed to withstand the test of time! This floor bed will help the baby make the switch from a crib to a big kid's bed with a smooth transition. Your little one will feel “cocooned” – and comforted – inside this bed with rails. Sweet Dreams await your Angel in this new bed! A great place for a baby to sleep or play! The bed just needs a standard toddler-size or twin-size mattress.
You‘ll love it for its low height, raised slightly off of the floor with optional legs, to make it easy to get in and out of, so you don’t have to worry about your kid’s safety. Made of high-quality pine wood with a No VOC and water-based natural finish, the bed is durable and can keep serving your kids as they grow. The bed has pre-drilled holes which are standard features of our beds, so the bed is easy to assemble without taking too much time. Our Luca bed also comes with a removable house top too - see our Aiden bed for the house option.
Our Luca bed is currently out of stock and is backordered until November 2023. Any orders placed now will be held as backorders and ship when the bed is restocked.
One in stock orders are processed in one to two business days and then ship for free in the contiguous U.S. via Fedex ground, which takes three to five business days.
Our Luca bed is NOT intended for infant use. Children should be 2 years and older to use this bed, as we follow CPSC Guidelines for toddler or child beds and not infant or crib beds.

- Toddler Size Dimensions: 56" long x 31" wide x 21" tall. Fits a standard 52" x 27" twin mattress.
- Assembly Required. Hardware and instructions are included. Assembly takes approximately 45 minutes.

Can the rails be removed for when child gets bigger and no longer needs them?

Is it possible to paint or stain the bed a different color or finish?
Hi Cara. We don't the Luca bed in any other finishes at this time, but you could paint the bed yourself if you would like to. The bed has a factory finish, so you would need to use a type of paint that will work with finished furniture. Please let us know how else we can assist you!

Are you able to switch where the opening for the rail is?

What is the weight capacity for this bed? And does it have slats?
Hi Rachel. Beds are not rated for specific weights, but our Luca bed comes with slats and is plenty sturdy to support an average size adult laying in bed to read to a child.

Hi can i add a roof to this bed?
Hi Natalia. Yes! Our Aiden bed is the same as the Luca bed, but includes a removeable house top. We're happy to help you with any other questions!

Hi! Is there any way to get this Luca bed so the front rails are removable?
Hi Leigh. Unfortunately there isn't a way to remove the Luca rails. In mid May, we will have separate guard rails that can be added/removed from our other floor beds, like the Lucy, Sophia or Mateo. Please let us know if we can answer any other questions!
