Get the adorable Lucy Raised House Bed, the perfect transition for your little one from their crib to this styled Montessori house bed. The theme of the house encourages fun play and reading in bed.

This bed, raised only six inches off the floor, is safely designed for your child to easily get in and out of bed. Standard twin mattresses fit. We have a matching guard rail that can be added to the bed for additional safety. If you would like the bed to sit directly on the floor, please see our Sophia design.

Our best-selling Lucy bed is in stock for immediate shipping.  Orders are processed in one to two business days and then ship for free in the contiguous U.S. via Fedex ground, which takes three to five business days.

  • Can the Lucy bed support children climbing on the upper components of the bed the way traditional Montessori beds were intended? Thank you!

    Hi Melissa.  We can't say for sure if the bed can support hanging or climbing as there are no standard safety tests for that. Please let us know if we can answer any other questions!

  • The max weight for the twin house bed off the floor is only 160?

    Hi Juliana.  Beds and bunk beds are not rated for a specific weight.  160 pounds is an estimate for our Lucy bed because it is designed for children.  It is very sturdy and can support the weight of a child and an average size adult laying in bed for a little while.

  • Hello, what type of wood is the Lucy bed made out of? Also, what is put on the natural wood? Do you stain it or put a coat of polyurethane? Thank you

    Hi Kristien!  Our fun Lucy bed is made of solid pine wood.  It has a natural color, water based stain on it.  Please let us know if we can help with anything else!

    Hello!  I'm sorry we do not offer assembly.  We had customers use apps like Angies List or Task Rabbit to find someone local for assembly.

  • Is there any like this that are raised house beds but for a full mattress and not twin?

    Hi there.  Our raised house bed only comes in twin size.  We have a full size house bed, but it sits on the floor.  Please let us know if we can answer any other questions!

  • How many inches off the floor is the Lucy house bed?

    Hi Lisa.  Yes our new Raya guard rail is designed to fit the Lucy bed.  Please let me know if you have any other questions!

  • Are the bed rails available yet? And what do they look like? Is this bed available in white ?

    Hi Tammy.  The guard rails are going to be here in two weeks.  They are similar to the guard rails on our Aiden bed, and guard rail covers half of the length of the bed.  If you want guard rails around the whole bed, it would be better to order the Aiden bed.  We do not have the Lucy bed in white anymore.  We're happy to answer any other questions you have 😊.

  • Does the finish on this bed contain VOCs? Thanks!
