Sophia Montessori House Bed

Get the adorable Sophia House Bed, the perfect transition for your toddler from their crib to this styled mini house bed frame. The theme of the house encourages fun play and reading in bed. As featured on HGTV's Love It or List It Season 9 Episode 4!

The floor bed is safely designed for your child to easily get in and out of bed. Standard toddler, twin or full size mattresses fit. We have a matching guard rail that can be added to the bed for additional safety.

Our floor beds are available with or without a slat kit. The bed slats sit directly on the floor to elevate your mattress and allow air to flow underneath it. The toddler size slat kit comes with 10 slats, and the twin and full size slat kits come with 13 slats each.

Our Sophia bed in natural, TWIN size only is out of stock and is backordered until November 2023. Any orders placed now will be held as backorders and ship when the bed is restocked.

Our Sophia House Bed in TODDLER SIZE and FULL SIZE natural color are in stock for immediate shipping and ship via FedEx ground which takes three to five business days. Please allow one to two business days for order processing.

If I live in Houston Texas, how long does it usually take to ship?

Hello! Unfortunately we do not have twin xl house beds. Our house beds come in toddler, twin or full size. Let us know if you have any other questions!
Is the full-size house bed elevated off the floor? Do you have an elevated version?

Hello. The Sophia full size house bed is not elevated off of the floor. We do have a raised version, but it's only available in twin size. We're happy to answer any other questions you have!
What is the difference between slats and no slats for this bed in a full size?

Hello. The slats lay on the floor underneath the mattress to allow some air flow underneath the mattress. Some people do not want the mattress to sit directly on the floor, and there is a potential for mold to grow under the mattress if air cannot circulate under it (although I do not know how common that is). Hello Soledad! The height of the toddler posts before the "roof" starts is 37.5". The total height of the bed is 58". Please let us know if we can assist you further!
What are the dimensions of the wood frame and house peice (sizing for canopy)

Hi Danielle. The height from the floor to the start of the roof is 37.6" and the height of the house top is 20.8". Please let us know if you need any other dimensions!
What is the size of the wood pieces? How sturdy is this bed after assembly? Are there any special tools needed to assemble?

Hi Deanne. The wood frame is made from solid pine wood that is approximately 2" thick. The bed is very sturdy and it doesn't wobble. No special tools are needed to assemble the bed. If you do use a power drill to assemble it, you just need to be very careful not to strip the screws. Please let us know if you have any other questions!
Can the bed be painted?

Hi Jia. Yes, you can paint the Sophia house bed. It has a factory finish, so you would paint it the same way you would paint other furniture that already has a finish. Please let us know how else we can assist you!
Can I get a slat for the Sophia Montessori House Bed and how much does it cost?
